Privacy Policy

In force since 16 October 2026

What data we keep, what for, who it is shared with and how you erase it. In short: only what your week needs, and never to sell.

1. Who handles your data

ANGY is the controller of your personal data. You can write to angy@angy.app about anything in this policy.

This policy covers the app and this site, and applies wherever you use ANGY from.

2. What we collect

What you answer at the start: your name, your goal, your sex (you can choose not to say), the areas you want to focus on, what has held you back before, your level, the days and time you can train, where you train, your weight and any aches you choose to declare.

If you use the chat with Angy: the questions you ask and its answers, kept on the exercise or the day you asked from.

What you log while training: loads, reps, time, effort and completed sessions.

If you create an account: your email and an identifier. If you take out a plan: whatever the payment processor needs. Your card never passes through us and we do not store it.

The minimum technical data the app needs: language, time zone, approximate country, device type and errors.

How you use the app: which screens you open and what you do, for example starting the trial or finishing a session. It carries an internal identifier and your IP address, from which your approximate city and country are worked out, never your name, your email, your weight, your sex or your aches. Error reports also keep the IP address.

3. Health data is sensitive

Your weight, your loads and the aches you declare are sensitive data. We ask for your explicit permission before using them, you are not obliged to give it, and you can withdraw it whenever you want. If you withdraw it we stop using them, and the app loses its ability to calibrate your week.

We do not ask for diagnoses or medical records, and you do not need to give us any.

4. What we use them for

To build your week, set the load for your next session, show you your progress and keep it if you have an account.

To bill you if you take out a plan, and to answer you if you write to us.

To understand what is breaking and which parts of the app help, through our analytics provider and our error reporting provider. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise with it, and we do not integrate ad tools that could read health data.

5. Artificial intelligence

To generate your week we send the model your answers and your training history, without your name, your email or any identifier that points at you.

Your sex is not sent to the model: we only use it to suggest the weights of your first session, to order the areas you can focus on and to address you properly.

If you ask in the chat with Angy, what you write is sent to the model to answer you, together with the exercise or session you ask from and your logs of that exercise. We ask for your permission the first time; it is optional and you can withdraw it in Settings. If you write about an ache, it is used only to answer you.

The model provider does not use that data to train its own models.

6. Who we share them with

With the providers that keep the app running: hosting, database, video delivery, programme generation, subscription billing, usage analytics and error reporting. Each one gets only what its job needs, handles the data on our behalf, and is contractually barred from using it for anything else.

With authorities, where the law requires it. Never with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Where they are stored

The servers are in the United States, so your data leaves the country you train from. That transfer is covered by contractual safeguards with each provider, holding them to a level of protection equivalent to the one we promise here.

8. How long we keep them

For as long as you have an account. If you delete it, we erase your profile, your history and your subscription within 30 days, except for what the law requires us to keep.

Deleting your account also erases your usage history in our analytics. Error reports delete themselves within 90 days at most.

Conversations with Angy delete themselves after 180 days with no new question on that exercise, or 30 days for those about a training day. You can delete any conversation from the chat whenever you want.

If you train without an account, the data lives on your device and disappears when you clear the app’s data.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, update it, take it with you, have it erased, withdraw the permission you gave and ask for proof that you gave it. Exercising any of these rights is free.

Write to angy@angy.app from your account’s email address. We answer as soon as we can and, at the latest, within whatever deadline the law that protects you sets; if we need longer, we tell you before it runs out.

You do not need to write to us to delete your account: it is in Profile → Legal → Delete my account, in the app or by signing in at angy.app.

10. Minors

ANGY is not aimed at anyone under 16. If you are 16 or 17, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian for us to process your data, health data included. When you create your account you declare that you are 18 or over, or that you are 16 or 17 and have that permission, and we keep the date of that declaration. If we find an account belonging to someone under 16, we delete it.

11. Security

We encrypt traffic, limit who inside the team can see what, and store your history against an account identifier rather than your name.

No system is infallible. If an incident affects your data, we tell you without delay and notify the relevant authority within whatever deadline the law sets.

12. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your session, your language, the workout you left half-finished and the internal identifier of the usage analytics. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

13. Changes and complaints

We publish the version in force here, with its date. If a change is significant, we say so inside the app.

If you think we are mishandling your data, write to us first: almost everything gets sorted there. If you are not satisfied, you can take it to your country’s data protection authority.

Questions about any of this? Write to angy@angy.app.
